The Product & the Team you will work with

As a Workday Recruiting Business Analyst at Pernod Ricard, you will be part of our HR Tech, part of the Global Tech team. Forming a strong tandem with the Employee Staffing Product Owner and CoreHR Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving the continuous improvement and evolution of our HR technology solutions, particularly focusing on improving Workday but including other related recruiting tools.

Workday is our Group Workday HRIS deployed in more than 85 affiliates across the world.

About the role

The Business Analyst Recruiting Business Analyst ensures clear, structured, and high‑quality functional requirements for our global Workday Recruiting solutions. The BA translates strategic needs from the Product Owner into precise, testable specifications for the squad. Strong Workday expertise on Recruiting is essential to challenge requirements, anticipate cross‑module impacts, and design scalable, user‑centric solutions deployed across our 85+ affiliates.

This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, efficiency, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge products within our agile organization.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Functional analysis & requirements documentation

  • Analyse and refine needs collected by the Product Owner.

  • Translate these needs into: user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules and functional process flows

  • Conduct functional impact assessments: processes, data, security, reporting, integrations.

  • Ensure quality, completeness and testability of all functional requirements.

  • Maintain clear and structured functional documentation in Confluence.

2. Backlog functional contribution

  • Prepare detailed, testable User Stories to feed the squad’s backlog.

  • Lead the refinement of functional items with the PO and Dev Team.

  • Bring functional clarity during backlog maintenance activities.

  • Provide functional insights to support PO’s prioritization

3. Collaboration with configuration specialists

  • Provide day-to-day functional clarifications to support configuration work.

  • Explain business context, rules, constraints and expected outcomes.

  • Review proposed technical configuration to confirm functional alignment.

  • Participate in prototype reviews and functional demos.

4. Testing & quality assurance

  • Prepare and execute test scenarios (unit, integration, non-regression).

  • Validate that delivered functionalities meet acceptance criteria.

  • Analyse and qualify defects (root cause, criticality, functional impact).

  • Document test results and anomalies.

  • Provide functional validation prior to PO Go / No Go decision.

5. Agile ways of working & squad participation

  • Participate in all Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily stand-ups, Refinement sessions, Sprint review and retrospectives

  • Support the configuration team with continuous functional guidance.

  • Provide updates on functional work during the sprint.

6. Support & continuous improvement

  • Analyse recurring issues to identify root causes.

  • Propose functional enhancements or simplifications based on incidents or user feedback.

  • Document support resolutions and insights in Confluence.

YOUR PROFILE

Required skills & experience

  • Solid experience as HRIS Business Analyst or functional expert on Workday (module Recruiting).

  • Strong functional understanding of Recruiting processes.

  • Excellent ability to structure workflows, rules, and functional specifications.

  • Solid experience in Agile methodologies

  • Curiosity for Artificial Intelligence

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.

  • Fluency in English
