Working within Waterfall or Agile frameworks, a Business Analyst will work with a variety of disciplined focused team members all working toward a common goal of delivering value with quality and scale. Responsible for collaborating with other Job Families such within Technology and across our business partners to deliver consistent, reliable technology solutions that leverage AEP's technology standards, architectures and best practices. Independently performs advanced business and project analysis for any sized project.
What you’ll do:
Essential Job Functions & Tasks
This role to lead operational support and continuous improvement for an enterprise ArcGIS Enterprise GIS platform. Manage prioritized backlog spanning incidents, security remediation, enhancements, and testing readiness, partnering with technology and business teams.
Lead incident intake, triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking.
Manage and track security vulnerabilities including CVE-related risks.
Own Jira backlog including epics, stories, defects, and sprint prioritization with regular discussion with Leader and PO
Coordinate testing across technology and business teams.
Facilitate retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide leadership reporting on progress, risks, and impediments.
7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
Experience with Agile/Scrum and backlog management (Jira preferred).
Experience supporting GIS or enterprise platforms.
Additional Preferred Requirements:
Support the team to maintain application availability and performance, and strict adherence to SLA requirements.
Support the team to Triaging, analyzing, and resolving ServiceNow Incidents and Service Requests (Sev1–Sev4) within defined SLAs.
Support the team in coordinating to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
Support the team to perform application maintenance, enhancements, and modifications based on issues/bugs and business requirements.
Support the team to plan and execute upgrades, patches, configuration changes, certificate renewals, and environment health checks.
Work within ITIL/ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.
Collaborate with offshore support teams to ensure seamless 24x7 operational coverage.
Support the team to participate in DR testing/validations, post patching validations, and storm mode validations
What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business or related field of study; Or associate's degree in computer science or related field of study with 2 years of relevant work experience; Or High school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
Work Experience requirement listed below:
In addition to any experience required above, 7 years of relevant work experience is required.
