Job Description

  • Provide exceptional service, meeting SMC and hotel standards
  • Supervise and assist with Trails End operation
  • Assist with hiring and training of front of the house and back of the house employees
  • Assist with ordering food and beverage items, including liquor, beer and wine
  • Maintain all cleaning and sanitation standards
  • Properly store all food products while maintaining freshness, date systems and storage cleanliness
  • Make routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary procedures are maintained and to ensure that all equipment is in proper working condition. Notify Chef and or maintenance department of any defects
  • Assist with monthly physical inventory. Extend inventory in Cheftec within 24 hours of physical inventory
  • Balance all cash and credit receipts and other paperwork completed during shift
  • Maintain all costs as based on the monthly P&L
  • Assist with other F&B outlets as needed
  • Ensures that all BOH products are stored properly and that storage areas are clean and well maintained. Ensure that all food products are properly labeled, dated and rotated
  • Ensure that all BOH areas are 100% compliant with State of Pennsylvania health codes
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
  • Availability during peak operating times, ie: Weekends, Holidays and Special Events
  • Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
  • Understand company's emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
  • Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
  • Effectively manage staff through respectful communication, clear expectations, relevant training, productive coaching, holding regular team meetings, and appropriate performance management
  • Lead by example, be a positive example for team in action and attitude
  • Delegate work as appropriate, stating clearly objectives and time-line requirements
  • Monitor employees' successful completion of work
  • Encourage effective teamwork
  • Work collaboratively with others to analyze and improve work processes
  • Positive interaction with all levels of management and vendors
  • Knowledge and adherence to disaster recovery system
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor

Qualifications

Education & Experience Required

  • 2+ years' in food and beverage outlet experience
  • 1 year demonstrated supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree in restaurant/hospitality preferred

  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations; service standards; guest relations and etiquette
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Compute basic arithmetic and mathematical calculations

Physical Demands

  • Ability to grasps, lift, carry or transport a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and move consistently for 8 or more hours at a time
