This position reports to:

Global Project Operations Manager

In this role, you will lead a team of eight Project Managers and oversee a diverse portfolio of customer projects within ABB's Motion Traction division in Turgi, Switzerland. You will drive project execution and operational excellence by setting clear priorities, providing guidance and mentorship, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects in line with quality, schedule, and financial objectives.

The work model is hybrid.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Project Management team, setting performance expectations, coaching and mentoring team members, fostering engagement, and promoting a culture aligned with ABB's values and people-focused strategies.
• Ensure successful delivery of customer projects, driving on-time, high-quality, and cost-effective execution while supporting bid activities, managing risks, and maintaining strong customer focus and stakeholder collaboration.
• Drive project management excellence and continuous improvement, establishing effective methodologies, processes, governance frameworks, and best practices to strengthen project execution capabilities across the organization.
• Monitor business performance and resource effectiveness, overseeing KPIs, portfolio performance, operational improvements, and cross-functional collaboration with supply chain and other stakeholders to achieve contractual, quality, and financial objectives.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience managing complex projects, including scope, budget, schedule, and supplier/subcontractor performance.
• Previous experience leading a team of Project Managers is highly desirable.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in German and English is required; additional language skills are considered an asset.
