Job Description

Your responsibilities:

• You manage the distribution of tasks and the regular flow of information within the team so that team members can hand over/take over tasks to each other (deputy principle) and lead the team members.

• You are responsible for the professional development of the team by familiarising them with the goals of the company and the department, furthermore by motivating them to achieve these goals.

• You supervise and monitor customs clearance and document management by creating and processing the required documents and entering data into the customs system.

• You also manage customs-specific data and maintain and update customs tariff numbers in the ERP system.

• You also support and accompany customs inspections as an internal and external contact person.

You bring along:

• Completed commercial training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk*, wholesale and foreign trade clerk* or comparable training. Further training in the customs area and experience in a leading position is of advantage.

• You have several years of professional experience in the customs sector, ideally in a managerial position or with team responsibility.

• You have a sound knowledge of customs law and are confident using the ATLAS system.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, a hands-on mentality and a sense of responsibility are among your strengths, and you are confident in risk management.

• Good knowledge of MS Office, basic Excel skills and good written and spoken German and English round off your profile.
