The Teaming and Partnering Associate will be responsible for home office and field engagement initiatives related to the firm’s teaming & partnering efforts for its financial advisors. The role will directly engage financial advisors to consult on questions and issues related to teaming and partnering in their practice, as well as drive strategic initiatives to increase the number of teams and strategic partnerships across the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management field. These national initiatives include the Practice Strategy Teaming Match Making Programs, National Strategic Partnership Program, Research & Analysis of Teaming & Partnering Data, Teaming & Partnering Content Development, and Teaming & Partnering Operations. The role will require a person who is capable of engaging senior financial advisors and home office partners, and possesses strong interpersonal skills to help problem solve. The role also requires strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly engage Morgan Stanley’s financial advisors to consult on Teaming & Partnering policy, procedures, and best practices
  • Lead project management of the National Strategic Partnership Program – including an annual review process, direct communication with eligible advisors, partnerships with various Morgan Stanley home office teams, and development of partnership best practices.
  • Lead project management of the Regional Team Match Making Programs to drive greater teaming adoption across the field
  • Analyzing performance data to inform strategy
  • Research and Analysis of key Teaming trends and development of presentation decks for senior leadership presentations on teaming topics
  • Lead creation, organization, and strategy for dissemination of all Teaming and Partnering content
  • Think critically about existing work streams and processes; contribute to solution efforts
  • Help to create and manage the teaming and partnering content

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Experience: 2–3+ years of experience in partnership management, business development, or project management. Financial industry experience a plus.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Project Management: Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with Dataiku, Tableau and/or CRM tools a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $58,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
