The future of rail isn't just about movement, it's about intelligence, security, and connection. We unite rail expertise with digital innovation to create smarter, safer, and more sustainable transportation solutions. Technology here speaks with purpose: accelerating digitalization, embedding cybersecurity, and shaping the next era of rail.

Behind every breakthrough are people, their talent, creativity, and drive to push boundaries. Together, we're building confidence, resilience, and a new standard for connected mobility powered by innovation.

This position is for Stadler Digital Labs, a joint venture between Stadler Rail and Critical Software serving as the digital competence centre for the Stadler Group.

Check-out the website: https://stadlerdigitallabs.com... you be the PLM Implementer that we've been looking for?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the installation, administration, and maintenance of the PLM ecosystem, including configuration of PLM servers, application of updates, patches, and hotfixes, while ensuring system stability, availability, and performance, and contributing to the future evolution and transformation of the PLM landscape
  • Analyze and evaluate business requirements and translate them into sustainable, Teamcenter-compliant technical solutions aligned with the “standard before customization” approach
  • Design and model data structures, business processes, lifecycles, workflows, and authorization concepts using BMIDE and Active Workspace, preferably following a configuration-first methodology
  • Develop and implement required customizations and extensions, including ITK developments, Active Workspace extensions, workflow handlers, and services, ensuring clean architecture, encapsulation, and upgrade compatibility
  • Integrate Teamcenter with connected enterprise systems such as CAD, ERP/SAP, and ALM platforms, including the implementation of import, export, and synchronization mechanisms
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, manage version control activities, and collaborate closely with IT teams and business stakeholders across departments
  • Support the full PLM solution lifecycle through testing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, documentation, deployment support, operational maintenance, and release management

Which brings us to you, the person with:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Proven experience analysing business requirements and translating them into sustainable, Teamcenter-compliant technical solutions, with a strong “standard before customization” mindset
  • Solid expertise in modelling data structures, business processes, lifecycles, workflows, and authorization concepts using BMIDE and Active Workspace, following a configuration-first approach
  • Hands-on experience developing and implementing extensions such as ITK customizations, Active Workspace extensions, workflow handlers, and services, with a focus on maintainability, clean architecture, and upgradeability
  • Experience integrating Teamcenter with external enterprise systems such as CAD, ERP/SAP, and ALM platforms, including the implementation of import/export and synchronization mechanisms
  • Strong knowledge of configuration and source code management using Git, including branching strategies, merge workflows, code reviews, and support for release, upgrade, and deployment activities (e.g., Active Workspace extensions, SOA/REST services, ITK, and C++ customizations)
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and within multicultural and cross-functional teams
  • High level of empathy and user orientation, with the ability to understand user challenges and communicate in a patient, supportive, and solution-oriented manner
  • Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders while ensuring alignment across teams
  • Proficient in English (required), both written and spoken, as it is the primary language for technical documentation and international collaboration
  • Awareness of current AI trends, including agentic AI, with curiosity and motivation to explore opportunities for improving products, processes, and ways of working
  • Growth-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn, experiment, adapt, and continuously develop skills in an AI-enabled environment

What we provide:

  • Work that fits your life, not the other way around
  • Offices designed to make you feel like you belong
  • A team that knows how to work hard, but also how to have fun
