Job Purpose: Associate - Wind Asset (Mechanical) is responsible for focusing on the mechanical commissioning and maintenance of wind assets, ensuring all mechanical systems operate efficiently and adhere to safety and technical standards.
Mechanical Installation and Commissioning:
Oversee the installation and commissioning of wind asset systems, ensuring that all procedures are executed according to detailed engineering designs and safety regulations.
Coordinate with installation teams to ensure proper installation and testing of the WTG, addressing any issues to meet performance standards and project requirements as per approved checklist, records the learning and implement the same in commissioning of the new project. Track project installation plan with team and follow up for regulatory approval accordingly target dates to achieve.
Ensure the commissioning of turbines as handed over by the project team, including pre-commissioning offline and full commissioning for continuous operation. Ensure the zero incidence and zero defects while system commissioning.
Maintenance and Performance Optimization:
Monitor and manage the maintenance of mechanical systems within wind assets, analyzing performance data to identify optimization opportunities and ensuring efficient operation.
Implement maintenance strategies based on performance data and operational feedback, enhancing the reliability and efficiency of the systems.
Ensure 100% turbine healthiness for continuous operation and achieve operational performance targets as per the annual business plan.
Technical Issue Resolution:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to components of wind assets, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques and collaborating with engineering teams.
Develop and implement solutions to mechanical issues, ensuring effective problem resolution to minimize disruptions and maintain system functionality.
Provide technical training to team members and support in resolving error fault breakdowns for the turbine.
Compliance and Safety Assurance:
Ensure all mechanical installation and maintenance activities adhere to industry regulations and safety standards, implementing safety measures to protect personnel and equipment.
Develop a safety culture at sites by ensuring workplace safety and adherence to SOPs, targeting zero accidents and Lost Time Injuries (LTIs).
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to verify adherence to safety protocols, addressing any compliance issues promptly.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation and reports on mechanical installation and commissioning activities, including installation procedures, performance evaluations, and compliance verification.
Ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date, providing essential documentation for ongoing monitoring and compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
Prepare and submit site-wise budgets for the respective FY (OPEX, CAPEX, and Procurement) as per the timeline.
Coordination with Engineering Teams:
Coordinate with engineering teams to manage mechanical installation and commissioning activities, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with project objectives.
Facilitate communication between teams to address technical concerns and resolve issues, ensuring smooth execution of commissioning tasks and timely project completion.
Gather information related to connectivity, LTA/GNA, and project commissioning to support project coordination and execution.

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is required.
Strong academic foundation in mechanical /Electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Knowledge of wind turbine components, Generator system, Power converters and their operation is essential.
Work Experience:
10-12 years of experience in wind turbine installation, commissioning, or maintenance.
Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of wind turbine components. Knowledge of safety protocols and work permit systems.
