
Background:
Kotak Mahindra Trusteeship Services Limited acts as Trustee to private family
Trusts set up by HNI clients. The Trust administration team looks after the
operations, service and other administrative activities for these Trust clients.
Transaction Processing:
Execution of Investments / Distribution to beneficiaries / Payment to
Vendors / Consultants within the stipulated time;
Coordination with Internal Teams & Authorized signatories for timely
execution of Investments;
Ensuring timeliness & Utmost Accuracy;
Ensuring Trust Investments are reviewed frequently by the Investment
Advisors;
Ensuring process prepared are Implemented, reviewed & updated at
regular intervals.
Accounting & Taxation:
Ensuring regular review of the Books of Accounts & yearly Audit;
Finalizing and sending Advance Tax Calculation every quarter to Trusts
Clients and ensuring timely payment;
Preparing and Filing Income Tax Returns, TDS returns & GST returns of
Trust Clients;
Assistance on matters pertaining to Income Tax Assessment and
Scrutiny for Trust Clients;
Co-ordination with Auditors for matters pertaining to Income Tax Audit,
GST etc.;
Co-ordination with Internal Auditor for matters pertaining to Internal
process Audit.
Risk & Technologies:
Ensuring periodic review of database from risk perspective and to ensure
that it is up-to date;
Seek for Technology solution in coordination with BSG Team to
automate work process with objective to increase work efficiency &
better client service.
MIS:
Understanding Trusteeship Fee Structure & reviewing Trusteeship Fee
calculation;
Job Role:
Ensuring all documents pertaining to Trust Clients are filed and saved
properly;
To be backup for client documentation work pertaining to Setting up of
Trusts (timely execution of engagement letter and Deeds) and closure of
Trusts whenever applicable (timely execution of processes).
Chartered Accountant with Minimum 2 to 3 years work experience post
qualification;
Good knowledge in Accounting and Income-Tax for Private Family
Trusts – with detailed knowledge of accounting for Investments and
Capital Gains computation;
Adequate experience in Accounting and Taxation during Articleship;
Ability to coordinate & interact with Multiple Stake holders across Teams,
Business & with Individuals within organization across levels;
Solution oriented with Strong communication skills;
Self-motivated with a passion to achieve & Team Player.
