Analyze compressor parts to evaluate probable causes for products that are abnormal performers from the laboratory, production line or customer returns to find causes to help maintain or improve quality, reliability, and customer acceptance of our products.

Major Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematics, bill of materials, engineering specifications and formulas to determine quality requirement standards. Works with engineering, managers or others to interpret standards.
  • Provides technical direction and training to team members.
    Follows all regulations such as EPA, OSHA, lab safety, etc., Maintains good housekeeping practices.
  • Disassembles compressors in various components to analyze potential causes for abnormalities.
  • Gages and records test data, teardown data and information to assist in systematic process of viewing potential causes and apply statistical procedures to interpret this information.
  • Determines need for special test (ex. bolted shells, special gauging) to assist is separation of potential causes. Evaluates results of tests.
  • Sets up and performs various tests or measurements on materials, parts or products to solve problems and/or improve quality and reliability.
  • Writes reports, enters and extracts computer information for analysis.
    Recommends possible modifications to processes to achieve optimum quality.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Must be able to lift 50 Ibs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. General working knowledge of Excel is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Mathematical Skills:

Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Eligibility to Bid for This Team Member Hourly Position Includes:

  • Completed six months of employment as a regular full-time Alliance employee
  • Have no successful lateral bid in the past 6 months 
  • Have no more than a Written Discussion for Attendance 
  • Have no active Job Performance Corrective Action
