Job Description

We have a part-time opening! Come to work for a company with a great work environment and 20% staff discount.
Work Schedule: Friday, Saturday 7:30am - 3:30pm2-3 additional morning or mid-day shifts per week Between 4-8 hours per shift
Our pay is $17.00 per hour

PFC Cashiers play a critical role in ensuring our shoppers leave the store with an awesome check-out experience. They efficiently and accurately perform all cash register functions, assist with bagging groceries, and ensure that each and every customer feels engaged and delighted.

1. Position Responsibilities

  • Perform as a Manager on Duty (MOD) within the department in partnership and in the absence of the department manager.
  • Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
  • Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
  • Collect payments whether cash, credit, or gift card.
  • Bag groceries for customers, unless otherwise advised by customer.
  • Promote and sell memberships to the coop.
  • Communicate with department manager, assistant manager, and Team Leads about daily activities, needs, and challenges
  • Effectively communicate with customers and respond to questions and requests in a timely manner.
  • Greet customers in a genuine and friendly manner when they enter into your register lane and assist with any product questions.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with all staff to create a positive work environment.
  • Be able to correct errors and troubleshoot potential problems within the department.
  • Maintain store appearance and cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, removing trash, and refilling out of stock items.
  • All other duties assigned by the Department Manager.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation, including the ability to safely lift 15 to 25 lbs., stand/walk for the duration of their scheduled shift, engage in the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching, and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to read register screens and product and shelf labels.
