About the opportunity 

Reporting to the National Manager, Account Services as Team Manager - Financial Accounting, you will lead a high-performing Financial Accounting team and play a key role in delivering critical month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, allocations, reconciliations, and financial interface controls. You'll ensure business continuity through effective workload planning, support team development and compliance, contribute to major enterprise programs and drive continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and operational excellence.

This is a fixed term opportunity until February 2027.


You’ll also 

  • Ensure high performance and quality service is provided to customers on all Financial Accounting related functions.
  • Engage with key stakeholders within the organisation including managing the expectations and demand for services.
  • Ensure accounting activities follows applicable accounting standards and policies.
  • Deliver customer service by ensuring services are provided as per agreed service levels and collaborate with other parties to address any issues or problems in meeting KPIs.


About you 

You are a technically strong accounting leader with proven experience leading and developing teams within a financial accounting environment. You'll bring hands-on expertise across month-end close and reconciliations, along with the leadership capability to successfully manage a combined Financial Accounting and Reconciliations team through continued automation, change, and process improvement.


You’ll also  

  • Bring proven experience leading and developing teams with diverse skill sets, backgrounds and working styles.
  • Demonstrate the ability to navigate complex issues and coach team members to identify solutions and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Possess strong technical accounting expertise, including complex reconciliations, journals and month-end processes.
  • Be highly organised, with the ability to adapt priorities and reallocate workloads to ensure critical deadlines are met.
  • Have experience working with large-scale financial systems, such as SAP, and be confident leveraging technology to drive efficiency.
