The opportunity

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking initiative, is well-structured and communicates clearly. Experience with team leadership, resource management, and as a commissioning engineer is appreciated.

You will work closely with the team to set clear goals, follow up on project testing of IEDs and commissioning of substations for the Utility and Industry segment in Norway. You will be responsible for efficient use of resources, while also supporting your employees in both professional and personal development.

Close customer contact and follow-up of commissioning activities are a key part of the position to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project deliveries to our customers.

How you'll make an impact

  • Take ownership of the Commissioning team while providing effective leadership and support for team members, fostering their development and ensuring optimal performance.

  • Build operational capacity through effective people management and strategic planning, supporting the establishment and deployment of necessary frameworks for commissioning activities.

  • Ensure processes are in place to capture and share best practices and operational experiences, supporting business strategy and defining specific processes and tools for commissioning work.

  • Set goals and objectives for team members and follow up to achieve operational results.

  • Contribute to a good working environment and customer satisfaction

  • Tasks within commissioning and testing to support the team in smaller service assignments.

Your background

  • Proven leadership experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Knowledge of commissioning processes, systems, and site execution.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities. 

  • Strategic thinkers with problem-solving skills. 

  • It is an advantage with experience from the energy sector and commissioning or project execution environments.

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written.
