The Team Manager, Collateral Management, will be responsible for assisting with managing the collateral functions to ensure the efficient use of company resources and technical capabilities to achieve targeted performance standards while remaining in compliance with applicable state and federal laws. Handles daily administrative tasks, provides functional training, resolves customer issues, and gives employee feedback.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate activities and all processes involved with collateral functions up to & including alliance partner and dealer repurchases, securitizations, closeouts, and other activity involving SFS collateral.
  • Coordinate and act as a liaison between Dealer Track (FDI) Collateral Management, Custodian Bank and SFS to ensure titles are catalogued and maintained.
  • Assist with maintaining quality control of the collateral tracking processes according to established policies and procedures.
  • Review collateral reports regularly to ensure timely and thorough follow-up and recommend additional activity when warranted.
  • QC work performed by the Collateral Specialists in various functions.
  • Meet company timelines in processing titles and resolving titling issues or refers to the Department Manager for further action.
  • Assist with the retention and destruction of titling documents according to established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining department statistics and service levels across various collateral team processes, while assisting with more complex collateral issues and questions.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a supervisor or manager in automotive or relevant industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to write advanced correspondence.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and an ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to lead a team and collaborate with senior leaders.
  • Advance knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint.

Education:

High school diploma and or/GED.

Additional Requirements:

  • Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.
  • Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Houston, TX

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Experience –Minimum 3 years of title experience and knowledge of DMV documentation requirements, laws and regulations for motor vehicle titles.
  • Education – Associates orBachelor degree in Business Administration; and or a combination of higher education and experience.
  • Skills – Microsoft Office proficiency a plus

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
