We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to manage our Complex Care, Core and Cluster Services. As the Registered Manager with the Care Inspectorate, you will provide professional and operational leadership across a range of registered care services, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred support.

The Person

You will lead a team of Lead Officers and oversee the governance, quality and performance of services delivered by Senior Social Care Workers, Practitioners and Support Workers.

In this role you will:

  • Provide strong leadership, supervision and support to managers and frontline staff.

  • Ensure services consistently achieve high standards of care, quality and compliance.

  • Lead on governance, quality assurance, risk management and continuous improvement.

  • Support effective decision-making and professional practice across services.

  • Work collaboratively with Service Manager and senior colleagues to deliver strategic and statutory priorities.

  • Promote positive outcomes for people who use services and their families.

The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to strengthen and develop their skills, knowledge, understanding and application of legislation.  There will be an opportunity to work collaboratively within a multi-agency approach on Fife HSCP’s Strategic Plan 2026 - 2029

You must hold:

  • A relevant practice qualification accepted by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), including SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 9 (or equivalent).

  • A management qualification at SCQF Level 10 accepted by the SSSC.

  • Eligibility to register with the SSSC and meet Care Inspectorate requirements for Registered Manager status.

Experience of supervising, supporting and developing staff, including effective workload management and performance conversations.

Ability to assess and manage risk, make defensible decisions and provide clear professional oversight of complex casework.

Ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality care that meets individual needs and complies with all relevant legislation, regulations, and the National Care Standards.

A full driving licence and the ability to travel across Fife as required.

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.

As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration. If appointed, you must start your application as soon as possible, so you are registered within the required six months.
