We are seeking an experienced people leader for the role of Wastewater Pump Station Team Leader. This vital position oversees a team responsible for the efficient, compliant, and safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all wastewater pump stations and associated equipment within the plant and associated networks. Key duties include managing the team, ensuring the reliable collection and transfer of wastewater to treatment facilities, and scheduling and managing all preventative maintenance for these assets.

Responsibilities include:
Schedule and perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on wastewater pump stations, and all other associated equipment within a plant setting
Respond to pump station alarms and troubleshoot issues related to equipment malfunctions or failures
Operate pump stations manually or through computerised control systems
Collect and record operational data such as pump hours, flow rates, and electrical readings.
Perform basic electrical and mechanical repairs
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and operational data in logs or computer systems.
Assist with the installation of new or replacement pump station equipment as needed.
Manage and schedule ground maintenance tasks
Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response.
Manage, supervise and support subcontractors and suppliers to deliver their work safely, ensure quality standards are achieved, and budgets are controlled.
Qualifications:
Mechanical and/or Electrical Trade qualification or equivalent
Combination of education, training and industry experience.
Ideally Level 4 Connexis or the willingness to complete
Computer literacy
Experience:
Provide hands-on industry experience.
Exposure to the water and/or process industry and basic understanding of various water infrastructure technologies and processes are preferable.
Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues and contractors.
Proven problem solving skills and proposed methodologies.
