You will work closely with Underwriters and other stakeholders to ensure submissions move efficiently through the underwriting process, while continuously looking for opportunities to improve workflows, quality, and service.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your insurance expertise with people leadership, operational excellence, and strong customer focus. With the team's and company's growth, the role will offer significant opportunity to shape how the Underwriting Support function operates and develops over time.

Since Ledgebrook recently entered the Polish market, you will play an integral role in building and developing the local Underwriting Support team and contributing to the company's long-term success.

About the Role

As a future Ledgebrook Underwriting Support Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a growing team of Underwriting Support Analysts.

  • Ensuring required information is obtained from brokers and that documentation and underwriting files are complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
  • Partnering closely with Underwriters and Operations teams to identify priorities, resolve issues, and keep business moving efficiently.
  • Monitoring the quality and accuracy of the team's work and ensuring adherence to internal procedures, compliance requirements, and service standards.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify, improve, and scale underwriting support processes and workflows.
  • Supporting the implementation and adoption of new processes, tools, and technologies within the team.
  • Providing feedback to Product, Technology, Operations, and other stakeholders on opportunities to improve systems and workflows.
  • Building a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture focused on ownership, quality, continuous improvement, and excellent customer service.

About Ledgebrook

Ledgebrook is an InsurTech MGA on a mission to bring Specialty insurance into the modern era. Burdened with legacy technology and processes, the industry has not kept pace with the speed of innovation seen in other sectors. Positioned at the cutting edge of the next generation of InsurTech, Ledgebrook offers the best of both worlds: innovative world-class technology deployed by a leadership team armed with decades of insurance expertise.

Our long-term vision is to become a diversified full stack Specialty re/insurer competing with legacy carriers in product lines & markets across the globe. To get there Ledgebrook will build our premium base by rolling out a new Specialty product every ~6 months until we prove enough traction to raise a balance sheet, become a full stack carrier and eventually compete in the reinsurance markets as well. Our initial product will be domestic primary and excess GL E&S policies sourced via wholesale brokers.

At Ledgebrook everything we do is driven by our culture: Care, Strive, Thrive Together. To succeed in modernizing the industry, we must first succeed in changing the way we do business. Talent density is our north star—fewer, better people working together as one. To that end we’ve replaced all individual incentives with generous equity packages—we play as a team, we win as a team. Everyone benefits handsomely from Ledgebrook’s success.

Ledgebrook is a fully-remote US based company backed by top venture investors including Brand Foundry & American Family Ventures.
