About the Project:
Modernization of 12 HV Transmission Lines (220kV) with total length of 345km in three lots.
Modernization and expansion of 4 substations (220kV)
About the role
Lead and deliver a multi-site infrastructure program with full accountability for integrated management of scope, quality, cost, and schedule, in line with contractual requirements.
Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams, JV partners, and subcontractors while acting as the single point of contact with the Employer.
Oversee technical design, construction supervision, quality assurance, and compliance across all projects.
Ensure timely reporting, financial control, risk mitigation, and successful commissioning of the works.
Key Responsibilities
Solely responsible for managing the overall program consisting of the project.
Main communication point for the employer
Coordinate with other team members to develop a detailed work plan and implementation schedule
Ensure reports are delivered to the required quality and schedule
Review and confirm the proposed technical design and configuration of the transmission lines and ensure the contractor's designs and work are executed following the project requirements
Supervise and monitor the construction and project implementation
Develop and maintain a project quality assurance plan and ensure compliance with the plan
Prepare quarterly payment reports and analyses causes of delay, if any, and propose remedial measures as necessary. He will be fully informed of and acquainted with the project activities, both within the consulting services and works at the site. He will attend the commissioning and will be responsible for:
1. quality control of the consulting services.
2. supervision of project reporting to PMU (monthly, quarterly, and final project completion report).
Education & Qualification Requirements
Must possess a Bachelor or higher degree in electrical engineering
Must have at least 10 years of relevant experience in design and implementation of transmission lines and substations which shall include projects of 220 KV or above
Must have at least 5 years' experience in management and implementation of similar transmission lines and substations projects
Good communication and management skills and capacity to negotiate and develop good relations at works, at highest levels, fluent in English
Experience in procurement, engineering, business administration with previous work experience in projects financed by international financial organizations, disbursement, and monitoring procedures
Experience in developing countries is desirable
Experience in managing multidisciplinary and multinational teams is essential
