Join Our Team as a Team Leader (Residential Youth Services) at MADEC!

If so, MADEC invites you to join our dynamic team as a Team Leader (Residential Youth Services) in the Mackay region.

Must be available to work variety of shifts including weekends and sleepovers. Permanent Part time role available.

About the Role:

At MADEC, our Team Leader(Residential Youth Services) guide, mentor and support a team of Residential Youth Workers to provide safe, nurturing, and supportive home environments for young people who have experienced trauma and neglect.

Working under the guidance of our experienced Youth Coordinators, you will:

Lead, Support and Mentor: You will lead, coach, and mentor a team of Residential Youth Workers and Youth Worker.

Foster a Safe Environment: Create a consistent and nurturing atmosphere that empowers young people to thrive.

Build a positive team culture: Through your leadership you will build and promote a positive team culture that supports young people.

Be a Role Model: Lead by example, helping young people develop the confidence and skills they need to navigate life's challenges.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Qualifications: Diploma or higher in Child or Youth Services (or equivalent) or willingness to undertake.

Experience: At least 2 years’ experience working with young people and supporting individuals incl. youth, persons who have experienced trauma and neglect.

Licenses: A valid Queensland Driver’s Licence.

Screening: Current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening and LCS2.

Availability: Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
