We are looking for a proactive and motivated Team Leader to oversee on-site rail operations and join our team in Montréal-East This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday from 5:00a.m. to 1:30p.m. In this role, you will lead daily field activities, support and engage your team, and ensure rail operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

What you will be responsible for :

  • Lead, guide, and motivate the rail operations team;
  • Apply and enforce occupational health and safety policies;
  • Plan the use and maintenance of equipment, including PPE and machinery used for railcar loading;
  • Work closely with the shuttle train operator to ensure safe and efficient positioning of railcars;
  • Support the foreman with administrative and operational follow-ups related to rail production.

Qualifications

To join our team :

  • You have at least 2 years of experience in team management and can effectively engage employees around operational priorities;
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or production environment, including operating heavy equipment (loaders, cranes, shuttle trains);
  • You demonstrate strong attention to detail and place high importance on compliance with safety procedures and railway regulations;
  • You are recognized for your ability to communicate clearly and effectively with your team (French required);
  • You are comfortable working outdoors in a dynamic environment, regardless of weather conditions;
  • You are in excellent physical condition and enjoy hands-on work, including climbing on and off railcars and handling equipment;
  • You have experience in a railway environment and a good knowledge of systems, infrastructure, or rolling stock (a strong asset).
