
Maintenance Team Leader Job Description
Provides front line leadership to associates to maintain appropriate operation levels while ensuring safety, quality and process standards.
Responsible for daily shift preparation which includes setting the staffing plan, reviewing schedule and pass-down information.
Facilitates daily team meetings and monitors conditions to ensure appropriate processes are applied to ensure operational efficiency.
Tracks shift performance, updates departmental documents, tracks associate attendance, completes evaluations, and provides development through coaching.
Provides countermeasures and analysis to improve efficiency and medium-term planning activities.
Coordinate and negotiate with customers to ensure effective problem solving and to mitigate any production downtime.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain associate records including time and attendance, overtime tracking, training, performance evaluations, and discipline documentation.
Ensure effective communication between shifts by reviewing pass-down logs and email correspondence and take corrective actions if gap exists.
Conduct communication meetings across shifts to share information and analyze all information gathered from associates to share with Leadership Chain members.
Ensure that primary information about safety incidents is shared with Leadership Chain and Safety & Health department.
Support machine downtime recovery efforts by contacting necessary support and review the breakdown details to identify improvement activities.
Assign daily tasks / projects to a team members and be able to recognize where support is needed within the department.
Must be able to support the department with daily and weekend overtime as needed and project support is required. Includes Holiday work as planned.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or completion of high school equivalence exam required
Work Experience:
5 years’ experience work in the maintenance field or related technical field. Must include some project management experience
Skills & Abilities:
Technical Understanding of PLC, Robotics, and Automated Machinery including Electrical Theory.
Ability to quickly learn department procedures and terms
Ability to learn and comprehend basic instruction and understand the meaning of Denso terminology
Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly
Must be able to work daily and weekend overtime as required
Good organizational skills and time management
Ability to learn basic computer skills (excel, word, power point, Maximo etc.)
