As a Team Leader Processing (TLP) you are part of the project management team, working closely with the Project Manager and Chief Surveyor. You are responsible for the coordination, execution, and quality control of all data processing and reporting activities within assigned projects.
The TLP ensures that processing workflows are executed efficiently, deliverables meet project specifications, and data quality is maintained throughout the project lifecycle. The TLP works closely together with the Chief Surveyor on data quality and acquisition alignment, while reporting to the Project Manager on project execution.
Project delivery & quality
Coordinate and manage all processing and reporting activities within projects
Monitor progress, planning, and workload of processing tasks
Ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet client specifications and QC criteria
Take ownership of final processing results, interpretive reports, and deliverables
Perform and/or oversee QC checks on processed data and final outputs
Ensure processing is carried out according to best practices and agreed workflows
Coordination & stakeholder management
Act as point of contact for clients on processing and reporting matters
Align with Project Manager and Chief Surveyor on project requirements, deliverables, and planning
Liaise with Commercial during tender/quotation phase regarding deliverables, QC criteria, and feasibility
Coordinate with survey teams to ensure acquired data is complete, structured, and fit for processing
Coordinate with planning and other TLPs for processing resources.
Functional leadership (project-based)
Provide day-to-day guidance to data processors within the project context
Coordinate task allocation in alignment with planning and project priorities
Support the team in solving technical processing challenges
Safeguard consistency and quality across the team’s outputs
Act as first point of contact for processing-related questions within the project
Data management & systems
Ensure proper data management, organisation and traceability
Safeguard integrity and consistency of datasets throughout processing workflows
Contribute to improvements in processing-related IT, tooling, and infrastructure
Continuous improvement & innovation
Identify required improvements in processing workflows
Support development of automation and efficiency gains
Contribute to standardisation of processing methods and deliverables
Stay up to date with industry best practices and technological developments
HSEQ
Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment
Ensure processing activities align with HSEQ standards and company procedures
We are looking for a driven data processing professional with a strong background in hydrographic and/or geophysical projects. Someone who takes ownership of data quality and deliverables, keeps overview across complex workflows, and knows how to coordinate teams within a project structure in a structured and practical way.
Experience
HBO/WO level or equivalent through experience
Several years of relevant experience in data processing within hydrographic and/or geophysical surveys.
Experience with relevant processing software and workflows
Qualities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and quality awareness
Structured and well-organised, with strong planning capabilities
Able to balance operational execution with coordination responsibilities
Clear communicator, both internally and towards clients
