About the Team:

The Private Sector Licensing and Enforcement team provides a frontline service to improve housing conditions within the private rented sector and bring properties up to standard. We support and advice private tenants, homeowners, and private landlords with the team working towards ensuring people renting privately live in decent houses and a place to call home.

The team is dynamic, forward thinking and plenty of opportunities for development and growth.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will supervise one of the private sector housing licensing team overseeing a range of private sector compliance programmes including private sector licensing and enforcement work, ensuring premises meet the basic legal requirements and meeting necessary licensing requirements, ensuring statutory and corporate needs around this are fulfilled. The post holder will provide support to the Private Sector Compliance manager in ensuring statutory and corporate needs around this statutory requirement are fulfilled. You will have effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
