Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
As a Team Leader (Power Technician), you'll take ownership of a field crew delivering essential work across the electricity network. From planned construction projects to responding when customers need power restored, you'll lead from the front, ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

You'll have the autonomy to plan work, coordinate resources, and guide your team through complex network activities while working closely with Supervisors, Works Coordinators and operational stakeholders to keep work flowing.

This is a permanent full-time position, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with on-call rostering occasional overtime, and regional travel.

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
You're a qualified networks Electrician or Power Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship and knows how to get the best out of a team. You're confident making decisions in the field, thrive in a dynamic environment, and understand that safety and leadership go hand in hand.

You'll bring:

  • Current EWRB practising licence
  • Experience across electricity network construction, maintenance and fault response
  • Previous leadership, mentoring or crew coordination experience
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and safe work practices
  • Planning and organisational skills, including job scoping and resource coordination
  • Full NZ Driver Licence and willingness to participate in an on-call roster
  • A Level 4 (or higher) NZQCF qualification beneficial
