The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community.

Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Portfolio Reporting provides strategic budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial advisory services to support departmental objectives.

The successful candidate will lead a team delivering budget management, financial reporting and business partnering services across the Department. Provide expert financial advice to senior executives, oversee budgets and forward estimates, and contribute to key Treasury budget processes.

We are seeking a collaborative leader with strong financial, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills who can drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement in a complex environment.

Educational Qualifications / Licences

• An appropriate degree in accounting, finance or economics is highly regarded.
• Full membership/accreditation with professional accounting body (e.g. CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) is highly regarded.

Special Conditions

• A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
• May be required to perform duties in other locations/divisions/units depending on DIT requirements.
• Some out of hours and weekend work may be required along with Some intra / interstate travel may be required.

Tenure of Vacancy

Temporary appointment up to twelve (12) months

Remuneration

ASO8 - $130,046 to $134,956 pa + superannuation.
