There are four Council-owned outdoor swimming pools in Mount Alexander Shire, located in Castlemaine, Harcourt, Maldon and Newstead. The Newstead Pool features a 25m main pool, and toddlers’ pool. This facility has a BBQ and change room amenities. There is a kiosk and shaded grass areas for families to enjoy and make a day out.
As an operations (lifeguard) team leader at Newstead Outdoor Pool, you will support with day-to-day operations and oversee the lifeguard team, including recruitment, training, and scheduling. You will confidently support plant room operations and contractor systems, ensuring adherence to aquatic safety protocols like GSPOs, and leading the Health & Safety Committee. This is a Part Time position with a hourly rate of up to $33.87 + super.
To be successful in this role you will have strong admin skills, show attention to detail, and have experience leading a small team. You will have experience working as a duty manager or lifeguard and able to commit to a regular pattern of work, whilst being able to include additional rostered hours during seasonal peak times.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
