Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of full-time Team Leader onsite at our Food Store location in Emma Lake, Saskatchewan. This position will supervise Team Members, maintain inventory and champion Asset Protection and Safety Management encompassing sales of approximately 4.5 million of food, liquor, fuel and ice cream in the resort community of Emma Lake.

What You Will Do:
• Model and champion Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles, fostering a strong customer-focused and results-driven culture.
• Lead, train, schedule, and supervise team members to maintain efficient operations and high customer service standards.
• Support and guide daily retail operations, including merchandising execution, inventory management, and team coordination.
• Monitor sales, labour costs, and store performance.
• Support hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when required.
• Administer cash management, deposits, daily reporting, and Point-of-Sale System operations.
• Implement promotions, upselling strategies, and seasonal product displays to drive revenue.
• Conduct inventory counts, audits, and loss prevention procedures.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
• Respond to emergencies, staffing shortages, or operational issues as needed.
• Become familiar with and adhere to Lake Country Co-op policies such as selling of age restricted items and all government regulations relating to tobacco, liquor, lottery, and fireworks.
• Champion and ensure compliance with all safety, asset protection, and operational policies and procedures.
• Perform minor repairs to assets as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Who You Will Work With: Reporting to the Director, Food, you will be a key participant in initiating, developing, and executing plans and policies to ensure continued growth in sales, service, employee satisfaction, and customer experience. You will help lead a fun and passionate team to cultivate a culture of collaboration.
Who You Are:
You are looking for a career opportunity in Retail Store Operations and Customer Service and meets the following:
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a retail environment with a proven track record of driving revenue and margin growth.
• Cooperative Retailing System Experience, project management experience, and post-secondary education in a business-related field are assets.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including the ability to analyze sales performance, manage budgets, and implement strategies to achieve targets.
• Highly organized and strategic, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and lead across teams.
• Detail-oriented and results-driven, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality execution.
• Tech savvy with a good understanding of retail technology.
• Willing and able to obtain propane dispenser, WHMIS, and Serve it Right certifications.
• Flexible and adaptable, with availability to support extended hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
• You carry a valid Class 5 driver’s license, with the ability to travel and perform the physical requirements of a retail food store environment.
