A bit about the role

City of Casey offers three and four-year-old kindergarten programs in all of our kindergartens. Our mission is to ensure local children have the best early childhood experiences possible.

As a Team Leader Kindergartens, you will provide leadership and support to kindergarten teachers and educators working within Council managed services to ensure the delivery of inclusive programs to the community that are of the highest standard.

The role is based at Bunjil Place, with regular on-site visits to the Kindergartens you’ll lead.

This is a full time, ongoing permanent opportunity.

What you’ll deliver

  • Lead and mentor Kindergarten teachers and educators whilst building their capacity and professional growth
  • Support the delivery of innovative and high-quality programs
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure Casey-managed service operates in compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements and consistent with industry reforms

What you’ll bring

  • Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in effective leadership and management in the Early Years sector
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current pedagogical models, research and proficiency in applying understanding to lead the delivery of high-quality programs
  • Understanding of the legislative requirements, regulations, reforms, Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, Child Safe Standards and National Quality Framework
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent approved Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) qualifications or relevant experience
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History, Working with Children, Eligibility to Work, Functional Assessment
  • A curious, collaborative, and inclusive community mindset
