About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Integrated Recovery function in Nelson. As Team Leader | Integrated Recovery, you will lead and support a team working with customers who have been away from gainful employment for more than 12 months, helping them progress toward sustainable participation and improved recovery outcomes.
This role has a strong focus on people leadership, quality service delivery and achieving positive outcomes for customers and ACC.
You’ll play a pivotal role in providing day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and mentoring, driving performance and consistency and embedding high‑quality customer experiences, contributing to keeping Kiwis safe at work, at home and everywhere in between.
The appointing salary for this role is $101,287 to $119,161 based on experience and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance, and flexibility to change to a locked plan at any time.

- Demonstrated leadership experience in a customer‑focused or service delivery environment
- Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop others in a fast‑paced operational setting
- Experience using data and insights to support performance management and customer outcomes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with sound judgement in complex or challenging situations
- A collaborative, hands‑on leadership style that builds engagement and consistency
- The ability to build and sustain a high‑performing, highly engaged team
- You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
