About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and people‑focused Team Leader to lead our Insurance Claims team. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll balance operational delivery with coaching, development and continuous improvement, while ensuring a strong member experience and a robust risk and compliance culture.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead, motivate and develop a high‑performing insurance claims team to deliver quality, customer‑centric outcomes
- Plan, prioritise and manage day‑to‑day workflows to meet service levels in a dynamic, time‑critical environment
- Act as a subject matter expert, supporting the team with complex matters, decision‑making and escalations
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, embedding best practice across processes, systems and ways of working
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, proactively anticipating member and team needs
- Promote a strong risk, compliance and quality culture, ensuring all work aligns with legislative and organisational requirements
- Provide regular feedback, coaching and development to support performance, capability and career growth
Experience and capabilities we’re looking for
- Experience leading or coaching teams in insurance claims, superannuation or a regulated operational environment
- Strong people leadership capability with a genuine passion for developing and engaging others
- Knowledge of insurance claims, relevant legislation and quality assurance principles
- Ability to lead change, manage competing priorities and adapt in an evolving environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence using MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
