This Team Leader position is based within the DFC within Goods in Admin/Consumables

How you create impact

• Responsible for effective guidance of the team and functional operating area(s) as required.
• Conduct facilities reporting and escalation as required.
• Support with absence and discipline activities as required.
• Establish an understanding of Risk Assessments and Risk Controls including understanding how to identify risks and implement successful risk controls for safety compliance.
• Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace.
• Undertake effective resource utilisation, planning and management activities as required including planning the daily workload and ensuring that time and attendance matters are managed.
• Building positive customer relationships and responding constructively to customer requests and internal departments.
• Be an Ambassador for Quality and actively participate in continuous quality improvements, including driving changes in quality gates and culture.
• Actively participate and input into process confirmations, assisting with the identification of necessary amendments, updates and rewrites as required.

What we would like you to bring

• Warehouse system experience along with knowledge and understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading
• Experience of working to agreed targets
• Ability to influence, negotiate and deal with conflict successfully
• Knowledge of Health & Safety at work
• Preferred experience (not essential) of JDA/ Red Prairie systems
• Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
• Ability to deliver to tight deadlines in an organised and informed manner
• Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate
• Drive, determination and a track record in delivering continuous improvement
• Analytical and problem solving skills
