Job Description

Welcome to JYSK!

JYSK is a rapidly expanding retail chain with more than 3,000 stores in 50 countries. To support this growth logistically, the 10th distribution center is being built in Lelystad. Construction is in full swing, and we expect the distribution center to be operational by early 2027. But of course, that doesn’t mean we’re sitting still until then! Currently, a lot of work is being done in our temporary distribution center to ensure a smooth transition to the new facility.

In this role, you will be responsible for securing an efficient flow of logistics. Either in the Outbound Department or the Online Department. You will lead and develop a team of operational staff while working closely with the Department Manager and other stakeholders. The working hours are currently Monday-Friday from 15:00 - 00:00.

Your responsibilities

Flow in the warehouse

  • Ensure a smooth and efficient process from start to finish
  • Ensure correct and efficient loading and documentation flow
  • Coordinate and secure timely transport bookings
  • Make sure all relevant operational information is clearly communicated and followed up

Team management & DC operations

  • Lead, motivate, and develop your team of operational staff
  • Ensure a safe and positive working environment
  • Work with the Department Manager on personal development plans
  • Provide clear structure in tasks, responsibilities, and expectations
  • Support onboarding and training of new employees
  • Coordinate staffing resources across departments
  • Handle ad hoc operational challenges

You will work closely with: Team Leaders, Operations Staff, Department Managers, and the Management Team
