Purpose of Role
The Team Leader, DGS will be responsible to lead a team and drive DGS refurbishment and testing processes of dry gas seals in the service center.
Key Activities
• Ensure and maintain all the safety requirements as per the company policy
• Ensure and maintain consistent quality standards through the whole DGS refurbishment and testing process
• Maintain all the necessary calibration and certification of tools and equipment’s within the DGS service scope
• Review, approval, and concessions of Inspection reports
• Review design and place orders for new test equipment
• Train the team on face calibration software
• Provide guidance on seal assembly issues
• Consult and provide technical guidance for DGS test failures
• Review and approvals of test results
• Responsible for the operation of the DGS testing facilities and conduct virtual online test with customers
• Provide customers with technical support and solutions
• Review and raise GCN for drawing upgrading
• Train the team on general principles of testing and DGS operation
• Technical review of GA drawings for interchangeability.
• Presenting the product range and its technical attributes/benefits to the team.
• Liaise with various technical departments to provide technical solutions / advice
• Establish machining operations where applicable.
• Site support activities during emergency / critical requirements with shortage
• Support DGS CI initiatives
Key Accountabilities
•DGS planning, assembly, testing processes.
•Capable of maintaining DGS workflow
•Coordinate with various department to ensure the execution of repair process
•Quality control at DGS processes.
•Diploma or University degree in Engineering or relevant vocational technical qualification.
•5+ years of professional experience in proactive multinational & multicultural environment.
•ERP knowledge in SAP
•Lapping and polishing knowledge.
•Excellent People management skills.
•A good technical knowledge of John Crane product portfolio.
