Why Join

As a Team Leader within Commercial Banking Cash (CBC), you will lead a team of Business Banking Managers and play a key role in driving the team’s acquisition performance and overall business objectives.

You will be responsible for achieving team KPIs, managing sales pipelines, coaching and developing your team, and maintaining strong sales and due diligence standards. Beyond day-to-day performance management, you will build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local and overseas channel partners, and drive business initiatives and projects that support the continued growth of CBC.

You will translate business targets into clear priorities for the team, maintain close oversight of performance and pipelines, identify gaps early, and provide timely coaching and guidance to drive results.

You will balance business growth with sound risk and due diligence practices, while building effective partnerships across the Bank and with external stakeholders to create opportunities, resolve issues and enable your team to succeed.

What You Do

  • Lead and manage a team of Business Banking Managers to achieve team KPIs and targets, with a strong focus on corporate account acquisition
  • Monitor individual and team performance, identify performance gaps and drive timely follow-up actions
  • Maintain strong oversight of sales pipelines, including lead progression, conversion and business opportunities
  • Coach and guide Business Banking Managers on sales management, customer acquisition and due diligence requirements
  • Ensure customers onboarded by the team are appropriately screened and meet applicable AML and due diligence requirements
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Anchor relationships with local and overseas channel partners to strengthen referral flows and support new customer acquisition
  • Provide guidance and support in resolving complex customer, onboarding, operational and business issues
  • Develop and drive sales strategies and initiatives to improve team performance and business outcomes
  • Lead and contribute to business projects, process improvements and other strategic initiatives
  • Keep abreast of market developments, customer trends and regulatory requirements relevant to Business Banking
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team

What You Bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, with a strong track record in customer acquisition, preferably within corporate or Business Banking
  • A university degree
  • Sales management experience, preferably with experience leading or managing a sales team
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to coach, motivate and develop team members
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Good understanding of Business Banking products, customer onboarding, AML and due diligence requirements
  • Strong sales and pipeline management capabilities, with a focus on delivering business targets
  • Ability to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders and external business partners
  • Strong initiative and drive, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, initiatives and projects effectively
  • Dynamic, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-driven, hands-on and prepared to take ownership of team performance
