About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced civil engineer and leader to join our Civil Project Delivery Team.

As our new Team Leader Civil Project Delivery you will make a difference daily by leading the Civil Project Delivery team in the end-to-end co-ordination and delivery of Capital Works and other designated engineering projects, particularly in relation to roads, sporting facilities, drainage and associated civil infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include providing efficient and technically-sound engineering advice and service to the organisation. You will coordinate surveys, prepare concept and detailed engineering plans, project estimates and contract documentation, and provide project management supervision of Capital Works and other engineering projects. Additionally, you will provide support, guidance and training as required to a highly experienced team of design engineers and project managers.

This is a full permanent role based at the Knox Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 7 classified role. Remuneration will be $115,732.77 to $129,189.64 gross per annum (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee. Tool of trade vehicle is also supplied.

What you will bring to this role

The key selection criteria for this role are:

• Expertise in the use of software and applications for the production of civil engineering design plans.
• Expertise in engineering design skills and in the production of tender documentation and estimates.
• Strong project management and financial management skills.
• Ability to provide leadership, motivation and direction to direct reports.
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate at a high level, both orally and in writing, to influence outcomes and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Current Victorian engineering registration in accordance with Professional Engineers Registration Act.
