Job Description

The basic purpose of this role is to perform support/process duties associated with the continuous manufacture of Boehringer Ingelheim vaccines. The incumbent will perform and coordinate with other groups and supervise the activities associated with the preparation of active ingredient vaccine component (cells and medias) requirements. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares daily/weekly production schedule.
  • Oversees and ensures training and qualification of team members.
  • Reviews in process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner.
  • Maintains technical data and support documentation.
  • Initiates and facilitates root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems.
  • Escalates production flow disturbances.
  • Demonstrates a visible and tangible commitment to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) programs and initiatives.
  • Assesses individual and team performance regarding the continuous improvement.
  • Participates and provides support to site projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus minimum two to three (2-3) years in related field. Biology Degree or related field plus three to four (3-4) years’ experience in related field preferred.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Equipment/automation trouble shooting skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other database software systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of GMP and USDA requirements for Vaccine Manufacturing.
  • Results oriented and ability to meet firm deadlines while working in a complex and variable environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Clean room and aseptic technique knowledge.
