We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to lead our Authentication Team at our Crawley warehouse.

This is a full-time position. The standard work week is Monday to Friday, with hours from 09:00 to 17:30. Flexibility may be required during peak periods.

About the Role

The Authentication/QC Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both the product authentication and quality control processes within the warehouse. This includes managing a team of authenticators and QC specialists, ensuring all products meet strict quality and authenticity standards, and optimizing workflows for efficiency and accuracy. The successful candidate will be a role model for the team, maintaining high standards of integrity and attention to detail

What you will do

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the combined Authentication and Quality Control (QC) Team, including scheduling, performance reviews, and training new members.

  • Oversee the authentication of all incoming and outgoing products to ensure 100% compliance with authenticity standards.

  • Manage and enforce quality control checks on incoming inventory for condition, description accuracy, and adherence to platform standards.

  • Develop and implement efficient, scalable authentication and quality control processes and procedures.

  • Monitor team performance against key metrics for both authentication and QC, addressing any deviations promptly.

  • Collaborate with Inventory and Logistics departments to ensure smooth product flow.

  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of product authenticity indicators and market counterfeiting trends.

  • Handle escalated authentication disputes and complex cases, including complex quality issues and discrepancies.

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment in the authentication/QC area.

  • Report on team performance and process efficiency to Person on a weekly basis.

Who you are

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably within a warehouse environment or quality control environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in product authentication, with an exceptional eye for detail.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Preferred

  • Prior experience in the luxury goods or high-value retail sector.

  • Relevant professional certification in quality control or authentication.

  • Knowledge of health and safety standards within a warehouse setting.
