We are seeking an experienced and proactive Billing Team Leader to lead our billing operations team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of utility bills. If you are a skilled leader with a background in billing, finance, or utilities, we invite you to apply.

This is a 12 month contract parental leave replacement role.

Core responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the utilities billing team, ensuring high performance and accountability.
• Oversee billing processes for services such as water, electricity and gas.
• Ensure accuracy in meter readings, rate applications, and bill calculations.
• Monitor team workflows and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to escalated billing inquiries and resolve complex issues.
• Provide training, support, and performance reviews for team members.
• Collaborate with IT, customer service, finance, and operations teams to improve billing systems and processes.
• Generate regular reports on billing accuracy, revenue collection, and team performance.

What will you bring to the role?

• Experience in a supervisory or team lead role (preferably within utilities).
• Strong knowledge of billing systems, data analysis, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and billing software systems.
