Inspire and lead a team to provide housing solutions for people experiencing homelessness, mental health and addiction in South Auckland

The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

  • A people-focused role where your approachability, responsiveness and genuinely caring personality will shine.
  • Work in partnership with other agencies, including our partner organisations’ in the health and social services space, to develop supportive peer relationships and collaborative service delivery.
  • Lead a team who work alongside people who have housing needs and require support to achieve housing stability.
  • Lead a team which:
  • Provides support to people experiencing homelessness
  • Works alongside people to identify housing needs and supports them to access housing options
  • Supports people to sustain their housing to prevent homelessness and remain well.
  • Has strong relationships and collaboration within our communities.
  • Seek opportunities to engage staff through effective coaching and ongoing development while creating a positive team culture where achievements are celebrated, and people are valued.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00pm. This role will be based in Manukau and involves working across South Auckland.

You | Mōu

  • An exceptional people leader and confident communicator and relationship builder
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and working with Māori
  • Proven ability and experience in inspiring and leading a team effectively
  • A Registered Health Professional: Social Worker, Nurse, Occupational Therapist, etc.
  • An understanding of the mental health system and sector within the Auckland region, including the NGO and community sector.
  • The knowledge and experience to support staff who choose to work using Te Ao Maori frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • An understanding of and the ability to apply the principles of wellness and recovery
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or experience in a similar role.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office.
  • Full driver’s licence.
