The Software Engineer Specialist - The Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, reviewing and maintaining software, and overall system architecture, as well as providing technical feedback and sharing knowledge. This role will be located at Bangalore on hybrid work model.

In This Role, a Typical Day Will Include

  • Designing and developing high-quality software solutions with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Leading architectural and design discussions, including modular and plugin-based approaches
  • Actively contributing to development using modern C++ and Qt (Widgets/QML)
  • Troubleshooting complex issues related to memory, performance, and system behavior
  • Driving root cause analysis for production issues and ensuring timely resolution
  • Collaborating with Product Management, QA, and Support teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Working on workflow automation, file processing, and system integrations
  • Ensuring adherence to coding standards, design principles, and best practices through code reviews

Team Leadership Responsibilities

  • Leading and mentoring a team of engineers, ensuring technical guidance and career development
  • Driving sprint planning, task allocation, and delivery tracking
  • Acting as the first point of contact for technical escalations within the team
  • Ensuring high code quality, maintainability, and performance standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth execution
  • Promoting a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

Ongoing Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and enhancing applications through bug fixes, optimizations, and new features
  • Supporting production systems and ensuring stability and reliability
  • Staying updated with industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies
  • Driving adoption of new tools, frameworks, and development practices
  • Contributing to technical documentation and knowledge sharing

Qualifications & Technical Expertise

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 12–15 years of experience in software development & managing teams
  • Strong programming expertise in C++ (mandatory), with exposure to Python/Node.js/JavaScript

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills (memory leaks, profiling, RCA)
  • Experience with build systems like CMake
  • Proficiency in Git / version control systems
  • Strong experience with CI/CD (Jenkins)
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
  • Strong understanding of APIs (REST, gRPC)
  • Experience with automation pipelines / workflow systems

Frontend & Full-Stack

  • Experience with React.js (preferred); Angular/Vue is a plus
  • Good understanding of SQL / NoSQL databases

Development Practices & Tools

  • Strong understanding of design patterns, clean code, and best practices
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Familiarity with JIRA, GitHub, and modern development tools
  • Exposure to AI tools to improve engineering productivity

Soft Skills & Mindset

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Ability to balance hands-on work with team leadership
  • Self-driven, proactive, and adaptable
  • Technology-agnostic mindset with willingness to learn

Good to Have

  • Experience with plugin-based architectures
  • Exposure to high-performance systems
  • Experience with Docker / containerized environments
