We are currently seeking a Team Leader to assist with the operations at our CDS Bayswater Depot. This hands-on role ensures safe, efficient, and customer-focused weekend site operations.

About the role

The Team Leader is the key point of contact for weekend depot operations. You will oversee customer flow, ensure site safety and compliance, support staff on shift, and carry out daily operational tasks.

This is a hands-on supervisory role—ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example and keeping operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

  • Leading site operations on the weekends
  • Leading, supervising and supporting staff
  • Adhering to operational health and safety and acting in a safe manner
  • Ensure the business has a customer focus
  • Providing excellent customer service

What we are looking for

  • Working days - Wednesday to Sunday
  • Working hours 8am - 4pm
  • Strong reliability and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures
  • Experience in customer service and handling complaints
  • Familiarity with WHS practices and PPE requirements
  • Cash handling experience
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong physical fitness (this is a hands-on role)
  • Positive, supportive leadership approach

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
