Salary: £33,690 – £36,082 per annum + £60 per sleeping shift
Working Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 2 days on / 4 days off
Number of Sleeps Required: As per rota
Pay Per Sleep: £60 per night
Service: Children’s Home – EBD Residential Home
Service Users: YPs aged 11–17, EBD
Qualifications Required: NVQ Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner or equivalent 🎓
Experience in Years Required: Minimum 2 years in children’s residential care; at least 1 year in a senior role

Ratio of staff to children: High staff focus, small teams for personalised care
Accountable, reliable Senior Care Workers / Team Leaders who:
Assist the Manager in delivering high-quality care
Lead by example and maintain professional practices
Take responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of young people
Ensure children have risk assessments, behaviour plans, and care plans implemented
Lead shift plans, support staff, and manage incidents effectively
Foster growth and development of both staff and young people
Work proactively to help children achieve their full potential
Key Skills & Experience Required:
Experience managing a staff team within a children’s home
Experience working with children with challenging behaviours
NVQ Level 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and external professionals
Small, highly supportive children’s residential provider
Access to monthly support from a Clinical Psychologist

Overtime: 1.25x; 1.5x for 11 pm–7 am shifts

You only hold a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (not deemed equivalent)
You have only HealthCare, NHS, CQC, or Nursery Practitioner qualifications

Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children’s Home will not be considered.
