Group Summary:

As part of Magna International, Magna Energy Storage Systems Group develops and manufactures innovative fuel tank systems and components for heavy-duty trucks and passenger cars, specializing in plug-in hybrids. At Magna, you will be part of an international, dynamic team committed to delivering high-quality products and shaping the future of mobility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads production team and assembles parts by operating machines or using manual methods in a safe manner to meet production goals.
• Responsible for all production KPIs (e.g. OEE, scrap, rework)
• Participates in the maintenance, training and continuous improvement of Team Member Standarized Work.
• Read and follow all work instructions and standard operating procedures. Monitors production team for compliance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. Report any deviations immediately.
• Observe operation of machines and verify conformance of work piece to specifications and dimensions as well as visually inspect parts for non-conformance.
• Oversees and manages the training for assigned shift in production.
• Ensure annual safety reviews are conducted in accordance with Magna ESS safety competency training matrix.
• Ensure staff are trained in the safe use of equipment, material, and chemicals they will be using.
• Conducts safety training relating to production for assigned staff.
• Ensure accident investigations are completed in a timely manner.
• Conduct regularly schedueld inspections of the workplace to ensure compliance to safety standards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least two years of experience as a team leader in a production environment preferred.

• Experience in automotive manufacturing a plus.

• ​Proficiency in operating a computer using email, Microsoft office and ERP system.

• Knowledge of production assembly line processes

• Knowledge of welding is a plus.
