The Team Lead, Warehouse Ops will be responsible for all warehouse functions within the department, while providing exceptional support to staff and area supervisors. The lead will liaise with leadership, other leads, and peers within the facility across multiple departments. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership and self-motivated skills with the ability to train, direct, and provide guidance to team members. The lead must have the ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a candidate who can build great relationships with peers, supervisors, and crew members while representing the DEUTZ brand with excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs duties specific to the department.
  • Direct activities of the various processes, float, and fill-in for absent employees, as needed.
  • Ensure that all processes including safety are being followed
  • Oversees picking, inspection, parts identification, and entry in SAP.
  • Ability to cycle count, investigate and reconcile materials as needed.
  • Provide technical support to staff, including tools, materials, and training.
  • Train and develop new employees using the DEUTZ onboarding process.
  • Monitor new employees to ensure that they maintain Deutz standards for safety, quality, and productivity. Monitor and retrain as necessary. Be able to provide feedback on employee performance.
  • Operate a forklift as needed
  • Support cross training of employees.
  • Update and maintain training records as required.
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform tasks with a maximum degree of quality with minimal supervision.
  • Innovative and desire to learn attitude with the ability to increase your knowledge about DEUTZ business, products, markets, and customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to accurately solve problems.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and remain calm under pressure.

Travel Requirements

Anticipated domestic and international travel is approximately 0-10%

Minimum Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Knowledge of lifting equipment and/or devices.
  • Strong leadership skills with training experience.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Minor computer skills

Preferred Requirements

  • General knowledge of inventory management.
  • Experience operating forklifts.
  • SAP experience

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Industrial warehouse facility with exposure to noise and varying temperatures
