The Warehouse and Logistics Team Leader oversees daily warehouse and shipping operations to ensure efficient material flow, accurate order fulfillment, and on-time customer delivery. This role plans and coordinates labor, inventory, equipment, and transportation resources to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Responsibilities include managing warehouse activities and outbound shipping processes—such as picking, staging, shipment verification, and carrier coordination—while enforcing Standard Work and safe operating practices. The Team Leader collaborates closely with cross-functional partners and other shift leaders to maintain clear communication, seamless handoffs, and uninterrupted operations.

  • Lead the end-to-end materials process to fulfill customer orders safely, on time, and in accordance with Standard Work, while coaching and developing warehouse associates to meet performance expectations.
  • Oversee warehouse operations at the Hodges facility, including the raw material warehouse, assembly parts storeroom, and bar and housing storerooms, ensuring efficient material flow both internally and with external operations (e.g., paint/plating).
  • Maintain operational excellence by completing and reviewing daily checklists, sustaining 5S+ standards, upholding quality expectations, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and EHS guidelines.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts, timely investigation of discrepancies, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and oversight of inventory profiles, including excess and obsolete material disposition.
  • Ensure effective communication and escalation through the established chain of command, coordinating closely with leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners (including local rehab facilities) for material planning and availability.
  • Direct and adapt workflow to address changing priorities, material shortages, manpower variations, and other operational challenges while maintaining continuity of operations.
  • Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies, proper PPE usage, and safe material handling practices, including lift-assist requirements (lifting up to 40 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. with or without accommodation).
