We’re seeking a hands-on technical leader who can operate as a Team Lead, Software Development and lead a small engineering team. You’ll drive backend design and delivery for Network Observability capabilities, guide technical decisions, and partner cross-functionally to ship high-quality software in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities• Lead architecture and design (including creating and maintaining design diagrams and documentation).• Build reusable, testable, efficient backend services and APIs.• Provide hands-on technical direction, resolve complex issues, and make key implementation decisions.• Lead and mentor a small team (5–10), supporting growth, performance, and engagement.• Manage execution: planning, prioritization, sprint delivery, and removing blockers.• Implement security best practices, data protection measures, and quality standards.• Contribute to automated testing and CI practices to ensure reliability.• Collaborate with product, QA, and operations; coordinate training and support for delivered solutions.
Qualifications• BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or equivalent experience).• Strong backend engineering experience delivering production systems.• Java experience and REST API integration (any framework).• Strong understanding of open source and open standards.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.• Demonstrated mentoring and people leadership skills.
One or more of following areas strongly preferred:• Databases Knowledge – Clickhouse• OpenTelemetry • SNMP, NetFlow, network telemetry APIs
