Job Description

The Sales Support Team Lead is a key leadership role within Sales Enablement, responsible for overseeing a team of Sales Support Analysts who provide operational and transactional support to the Sales organization. This position serves as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex sales processes, quote configuration, contract administration, and order management. The Team Lead partners closely with Sales, Renewals, Contracts, Billing, and IT teams to drive operational excellence, improve business processes, and ensure a seamless experience for internal stakeholders. In addition to managing daily operations, this role focuses on employee development, continuous improvement, and strategic initiatives that enhance organizational efficiency.

What You'll Do:

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Support Analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance discussions, and career development coaching.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor new team members, ensuring operational readiness and knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor team performance metrics and workload distribution to ensure service level commitments are met.

Sales Operations Support

  • Oversee and manage the queue of incoming sales operations requests within Salesforce (SFDC), ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex quoting, contract, and order-related inquiries.
  • Provide expert guidance to Account Executives on quote configuration, pricing, and sales processes within Salesforce and CPQ.
  • Deliver white-glove support for strategic and enterprise-level opportunities, ensuring deal accuracy and operational compliance.
  • Review and validate pricing and configurations for migration orders and other complex sales transactions.
  • Process contract amendments and site consolidations in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure operational requests are accurately categorized and documented to support meaningful reporting and analytics.
  • Analyze operational data and trends to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on improving sales processes, systems, and overall business operations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and best practices that support team consistency and scalability.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales, Renewals, Contracts, Billing, IT, and other business partners to resolve issues and streamline workflows.
