We are looking for a Team Lead, Revenue Accounting
to take hands-on ownership of day-to-day passenger revenue accounting operations within Finnair Business Services, while continuing to develop our people, processes and ways of working in a complex airline environment.
This role is a natural next step for someone already familiar with aviation and/or travel industries or has experience in Finance and who wants to take broader leadership responsibility and shape how we operate going forward. As a Team Lead, you will have end-to-end daily operational responsibility for your function area, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant delivery while driving continuous improvement together with your team, business process owners and partners.
Main responsibilities:
Lead and oversee daily passenger revenue accounting activities, including sales control, sales audit, accounting, interline, uplift and passenger taxes
Ensure correct and on-time delivery in line with regulatory requirements and internal control standards
Lead, support and develop the team: clarify responsibilities, plan resources, support performance, competence and talent development
Coordinate and guide outsourced service providers and subcontractor teams in daily operations together with sub-domain experts
Drive process improvements, documentation quality and system development in close cooperation with Business Process Owners
Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects, representing the revenue accounting day-to-day perspective
Act as a subject-matter representative and internal consultant within your responsibility area
What will help you succeed in this role:
Strong experience and expertise in Passenger Revenue Accounting or a closely related airline commercial domain
At least 5 years of relevant experience within finance, payments, reservations or revenue accounting
Prior experience in leading people or acting in a senior/coordination role
Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex operational topics
Fluent verbal and written English and the ability to communicate clearly and constructively across teams.
Experience with airline systems such as Amadeus, SAP Sirax, SAP Fico, BSP/ARC, SIS, and strong MSOffice (incl. Excel) skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, business administration or a related field
