Job Description

This role is part of our ET/UT product line.

The person in this position oversees the activities of their work team. They must ensure that priorities are followed. They are responsible for ensuring that assemblers have the appropriate tools and training for the tasks at hand. They must ensure that workplace safety protocols are in place.

As a Production Team Lead, you must be able to
• Ensure that tasks are organized according to the priority list
• Serve as a technical resource for team members.
• Help optimize the assembly process with the goals of reducing costs, improving product quality, and enhancing employee safety.
• Work closely with the production and engineering team to ensure accurate and adequate assembly documentation.
• Identify and provide the necessary training for each team member.
• Ensure that team members are versatile to handle unexpected changes.
• Perform the duties outlined in the mechanical assembler job description.
• All other production-related tasks.

What makes you an asset to our team

• High school diploma (D.E.S.) or a related vocational diploma (D.E.P.)
• 2 to 4 years of experience as a mechanical assembler.
• Experience working in a LEAN production environment (asset)
• Experience in personnel management (asset)
• Customer-oriented and focused on customer service
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Knowledge of SAP software (asset)
• Strong aptitude and interest in team management
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Good judgement
