Team Lead - Planning

Do you want to take the lead in planning and ensuring that our resources are utilised to their fullest potential? Are you structured and always looking to improve on outcome and process? Then you should take a closer look at this great opportunity!

At Friland A/S, we are passionate about delivering high-quality, sustainable meat products to our customers, while adhering to high animal welfare standards. To support this mission, we are looking for a dedicated and structured leader to head our small planning department. In this role, you will have a significant impact on our operations, ensuring smooth processes and strong collaboration across teams and borders.

Focus on smooth operations – and continuous development

As Team Lead, you will not only manage day-to-day operations but also drive improvements and optimise workflows. You will work closely with employees and colleagues, primarily in Denmark and Germany, ensuring that our planning processes are efficient, transparent, and aligned with business goals. This is a cross-functional role that works closely with key stakeholders in sales and production. So, it is a role for you, who thrives on responsibility, enjoys working in a dynamic environment, and wants to make a real difference.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Lead and develop the planning department.
  • Plan slaughtering and forecasting and liaise with Owner Service and inbound transport.
  • Manage and update frozen orders and stock lists.
  • Provide backup on tasks related to Frilandsgrisen, Organic Pork, and Organic Beef.
  • Optimise standard processes, workload distribution, and workflows – both in Denmark and in collaboration with Friland GmbH.
  • Maintain close dialogue with the Sales Department and Engine Room to ensure optimal capacity utilisation.
  • Coordinate communication between slaughterhouses, packing facilities, distribution centres, and Friland.

Your key tasks
Your everyday tasks will be a variation of recurring planning and handling of various issues to make sure that our farmers and customers are serviced in the best way possible.

You will:

  • Handle order processing for Fresh customers in Denmark.
  • Manage orders being processed at our factories in Oldenburg (Germany) and Haarlem (Holland).
  • Process orders for the USA – including Organic and Frilandsgrisen products.
  • Handle complaints and claims in a professional manner.
  • Create new products and customer profiles in our systems (SAP).
  • Prepare weekly stock lists and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Take on various ad hoc and urgent tasks that arise in daily operations.

What we are looking for
We are seeking a candidate who combines a structured and analytical mindset with strong leadership skills.

Ideally, you:

  • Have experience in planning, logistics, or production.
  • Are a confident leader who can motivate and develop employees.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy optimising processes.
  • Have insight into S&OP processes – this will be considered an advantage.
  • Master Danish and English verbally and in writing at a high level. As you will cooperate quite a bit with our German colleagues, mastering of German will be a great advantage too.
  • Hold a B.Sc or M.Sc. degree within Supply Chain or Logistics – alternatively in a Commercial area. But most important is your experience and motivation for planning

What we offer
Being a part of Friland, is being a part of something bigger. You’ll become part of a company focused on production of meat within organic and free-range categories with special attention on animal welfare. At the same time you’ll become part of Danish Crown – one of the largest food companies in Denmark.

You can expect:

  • A key role in a company that values quality, animal welfare, sustainability, and innovation.
  • The opportunity to influence processes and drive meaningful improvements.
  • A supportive team and a dynamic working environment.
